OUR STORY

Our History

Opened by local couple Marc Wheeler and Jessica Paris in September 2013, Coppa is Juneau’s first handmade ice cream and coffee shop. In 2014, we were named Best New Business and Best Ice Cream Shop by the Juneau Empire Reader’s Choice survey. In 2015, the business won the People’s Choice award under the Path to Prosperity competition, and was named Best Business and Best Ice Cream Shop by the Juneau Empire Reader’s Choice survey. In 2016, BuzzFeed named Coppa the most popular ice cream shop in Alaska. In 2017, Coppa won the Grand Prize in the Alaska Symphony of Seafood with our candied salmon ice cream.
